Referral Terms

If you send someone our way and their claim pays out, we say thank you with a reward. These are the rules.

How it works

1. Tell your friend to mention your name when they contact us, or send us their name yourself with their permission.
2. They engage us and we file their claim.
3. HMRC pays their refund and they settle our invoice.
4. We pay you £50.

The rules

• The person you refer must be new to Sorted Refunds and not an existing or previous client.
• Only one reward per person referred, paid to the first referrer if more than one person claims them.
• You cannot refer yourself, or a second account belonging to you.
• The reward is paid once their refund has landed and our invoice has been paid in full.
• We pay by bank transfer within 14 days of that point.
• There is no limit on how many people you can refer.

Consent matters

Only give us someone's details if they are happy for you to do so. Please do not pass on contact details of people who have not agreed to hear from us.

Tax on your reward

A referral reward may count as taxable income depending on your circumstances. Declaring it is your responsibility.

Changes and fair use

We may change or withdraw the referral reward at any time. Referrals already made under the previous terms will be honoured. We may decline a reward where we reasonably believe the scheme is being abused or referrals are not genuine.
