Terms of Service

Version 2026-07-27. Last updated 27 July 2026.

These terms apply when you ask Sorted Refunds to prepare, check or file a UK tax refund claim for you. Please read them before you send us your documents.

1. Who we are

Sorted Refunds is a tax refund preparation service operating from UB-08, Cluster G, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at info@sortedrefunds.co.uk or on +44 7882 509005.

2. What we do

We do not provide investment advice, legal advice, or advice on anything outside the claim you engage us for.

3. What we charge

Our fee is 36% of any refund we obtain for you, including any VAT that applies. Nothing is added on top. If HMRC pays no refund, there is no fee and you owe us nothing.

You can make the same claim yourself, free, directly with HMRC at gov.uk. You are never obliged to use us.

The fee is calculated on the refund HMRC actually awards. We invoice after the refund has been paid. Payment is due within the period stated on the invoice.

4. How you get paid

HMRC pays your refund directly into your own bank account, in your own name. We do not receive your refund and we do not deduct our fee from it. You pay our invoice separately once the money has reached you.

5. Your responsibilities

A claim is only as accurate as the information behind it. You remain legally responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us and of anything filed in your name.

6. If HMRC opens an enquiry

HMRC can review or query any claim. If they query a claim we filed, we will help you respond at no extra cost, provided the information you gave us was accurate. If HMRC reduces or reverses a refund because information you gave us was wrong or incomplete, our fee on the original refund remains payable and you are responsible for repaying HMRC.

7. Security and your HMRC account

We will never ask you for a one-time passcode, and we will never ask you to approve a login you did not expect. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, do not act on it and contact us straight away.

8. Ending the agreement

You can cancel within 14 days of engaging us, and at other times, as set out in our Cancellation Policy.

9. Liability

We take care to prepare your claim correctly. Where we are at fault, our liability to you is limited to the fee you paid us for the claim concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Complaints

If something goes wrong, please tell us. Our Complaints Procedure explains how we handle it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your claim is the one published when you engaged us. Material changes will be notified to you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
